I bet you would have come across the word “swagger” several times; in music, on the internet, between conversations..etc. The word has become one to reckon with. Simply put, swagger could be defined as

“How one presents him or her self to the world. Swagger is shown from how the person handles a situation. It can also be shown in the person's walk. In other words swagger is to to move with confidence, sophistication and to be cool…..Urban Dictionary  
It is so easy to lose track of happenings around you, with your ever busy work schedules and long hours in traffic. It’s often sad to hear certain things from our kids or younger nieces/ nephews and have no idea what they’re talking about.. At swaggerville, we make it easy for you to blend with the younger generation by bringing you into their world. This edition focuses on bringing some swagger into your chats.

profound laughter.

They really are for chatting, so you know how they say after a dangerous commercial on TV, “Dont try this at home”??.. Well, “don’t try this at work”…simple!!!

Emoticons: The trend is to keep chat sentences as short as possible. Why type a long line when you can say it all with an expressive face?


Now, next time you see these words/emoticons, make sure you get with the flow. The world is evolving and we all have to evolve with it.

Wow! It cannot be the end of the year already. Ohhh!! I really need to snap out of this…

I guess this has been one very fast year that everyone has been trying hard to keep up with.  Last edition, swaggerville took you through the swagger chat and emoticons for easy communication. This edition, Swaggerville is showing how to bring some swagger into your dressing and hair, plus an extra on appropriate dressing.

 Do you really want to know the truth? You don’t have to wear the latest clothes and have the newest hair-do to actually look hip; the secret to having that swagger is CONFIDENCE”. When you put on an outfit, you should be proud of how you look. Nobody can make you feel better about yourself than you. Look yourself in the mirror and psyche yourself up before leaving your house, making sure you are comfortable and smart.

DRESSING

Keep your dressing interesting, clean and trendy.  Depending on the occasion, always remember less is best; keep the make up on the lighter side, accessorize right, wear the appropriate footwear, be confident and put a smile on your face. Nothing turns up an outfit better than a genuine smile. It doesn’t really matter who you are, or what you do. When you walk, keep your head up high, you are important, whether you are acknowledged or not.

HAIR

Be adventurous, try something different, sticking to the same look will eventually look boring, so when you see a hairstyle you like on someone else, why not stop the person and ask for the contact details of the stylist?

Quick tip:

Wearing a lace wig gives you that air of sophistication but not everyone can afford it (trust me, it’s not an absolute must to buy). I’ll let you in on a secret.

On the contrary, it looks tacky and gives the impression that you are trying too hard.

             DRESSING THE PART

I view this world as one big drama and we all have roles to play. The best thing about it is that we have an opportunity to play different roles. We can be parents, sportsmen, friends in the restaurant/movies, company executives etc. When it’s time to switch roles, you need to dress appropriately. The way you dress to the office is totally different from the way you would dress when going to workout at the gym, same way you wouldn’t wear your beach outfit to the movies.
